Fellow Queens,

Prince #2, Mr. 6 year-old, is still hot with Phelps Fever.

He found some old medals in the toy box and is now rallying for a swim meet at the Knights of Columbus pool. He is making a sheet with semi-final brackets, polishing the medals, the works.

Knowing my kid as I do, I asked him if he was going to be a real bossy boots and order his friends around during his meet. He says, “No, I’m just going to tell them what to do.”
As long as he doesn’t ask to buy a Speedo swimsuit, I’m fine with it.

It’s not just my house dealing with this. Here is a boy story from Queen Lynn of Lake Highlands, TX:

Yesterday Prince Kevin, four years old, called out "Hey Mom, I'm swinging on a bar!” Then I hear CLANG, CLANG, CLANG! "Mom, I think I broke something!" He was swinging on the towel bar in the bathroom. I explained that it was not the Olympic High Bar, and that yes, Daddy could fix it.

Now he's asking to go to Wal-Mart for the motorcycle daredevil that he thinks he deserves to help him calm down!

Hmm. Motocross is an Olympic sport this year.

Tomorrow is the first day of school!!!!!!
