Fellow Queens!
Here is a quick boy story to start off your week from Queen Charlotte of Fort Mill, South Carolina!
Ahh, last Monday was the first day back to school after the holidays.
As I stepped out of the bedroom that morning, Will greets me with "I dropped my ant farm." Oh joy. The only good news is that we've had this farm for almost two and a half months so I figured that most of the ants were dead anyway. I proceed to the kitchen to find the ants milling around globs of green gel. I grab an index card and begin scooping the ants up and putting them back in the farm. After about five minutes of doing this and wondering why there are still ants everywhere, I notice one of the plugs on the side of the farm has fallen out and the ants are escaping. As I'm trying to scoop ants, close the lid, and cover the hole all at the same time, I'm calling to Will to come find the plug. Finally after about 10 minutes I get the ants contained, which leaves me about five minutes to make lunches before they head to school.
Nothing like a little excitement at 6:45 am to start the new year.
Reign On!
Queen Linda
